The Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum is dedicated to "Keeping The Antiques Flying". WAAAM will be holding many events throughout the year. We would like any Antique Aircraft or Antique Automobile Clubs to feel at home in holding their events or club meetings at our museum. Please contact WAAAM if you would like your group to be scheduled for such an opportunity.

Location: WAAAM Date: 7/4/09 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM 4th of July Extravaganza - Independence Day Celebration includes: L-Birds from across the West Coast flying in to join WAAAM in our annual Hood River Parade formation Fly-by, WWII jeep clubs will also be in attendance. Veterans will be on site to share their memories with us. BBQ's, picnics and fun for the whole family. WAAAM also plans on firing up our WWII 60" Sperry Search lights before the fireworks start. |

WAAAM's biggest event of the year! The 3rd annual WAAAM Fly-In will be held at the Museum on the Hood River Ken Jernstedt Airfield 4S2 September 11th - 13th. Come support WAAAM as antique aircraft join us from across the nation to celebrate our love for flying. Plane Rides, Food, Activities and much more! Each year, this event has grown bigger and bigger! Don't miss this year’s celebration!
Pilot Information - Ken Jernstedt Airport / Hood River Identifier 4S2. AWOS 134.375 Unicom 122.8 / Request Ground Control Freq. from 122.8 / Runways: Paved (3100') and grass (1200') available. Left hand traffic pattern! For more airport information and fuel prices contact Classic Wings at www.flythegorge.com. Please bring your own Tie Down kits. Camping is available with your aircraft as well as SHOWERS! That’s right, this year WAAAM will have showers for the pilots camping. Please note that there will be many aircraft in the area without radios, so keep a sharp eye out. Visiting aircraft are invited to come as early as the Thursday the week of the event.

Lions Club Breakfast 7:00 am to 10:00 am.
Museum Doors open at 8:00 am and close at 6:00 pm.
Airplane rides will be available throughout the day hosted by Classic Wings.
Visiting aircraft on display, food vendors, kids' activities, fly-swap meet, military display and much more.
Hangar Dinner Dance, Silent Auction and Awards Ceremony 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm open to the public. Tickets will be available at the WAAAM front desk.
Sunday, September 13th, 2009
