Welcome Airplane #96

A St. Louis Cardinal now calls WAAAM its home.

Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum is now the proud owner of a 1929 St. Louis Cardinal.

On display in M1 is our recently acquired 1929 St. Louis Cardinal. This aircraft is a monocoupe with a LaBlond radial engine. Unlike most other airplanes of this era, the Cardinal has an enclosed cockpit and side by side seating.

Our Cardinal is one of 21 built. Before we can fly it again, the craft will need a bit of restoration but we are excited to have this new airplane.

Many thanks to Peter Lafferty and Don Mayo who made the purchase of the Cardinal possible.

Return to home.
