WAAAM, the antique airplane and automobile museum, is situated on a 40 acre parcel of land, in beautiful Hood River, Oregon. Hood River is located in the eastern part of the world-renowned Columbia River Gorge, just 60 miles east of Portland.
It's well worth your time to take a drive out to see us — or to fly into the airport next to us if you have your own plane.
Hood River is regularly mentioned in travel magazines as a key destination place in the Pacific Northwest, and it has received numerous awards and distinctions for its spectacular scenery.
Getting to WAAAM is easy, and along the way, you'll be able to enjoy some of the most incredible scenery you'll ever see.
Depending on which way you get here, you might see lush forests, majestic waterfalls, and snow-capped mountains, or waving wheat fields, high desert scenery, and sheer basalt cliffs.
If you come from the east or the west, you'll be traveling along the mighty Columbia River, a 1,200 mile long river that begins in the Canadian Rockies and empties into the Pacific Ocean at Astoria, Oregon.
And whether you fly in or drive in, you'll see spectacular views of both Mt. Adams on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood on the Oregon side.
